About

Tom Laverack is a singer-songwriter from NYC and co-founder of the independent label, Sojourn Records. He released his seventh album, One Stop Past Your Destination in 2014, a collection of unreleased material and a mixed bag of choice tracks from the last two decades. Laverack has recorded as a solo artist and as part of the duo, Just Desserts, featuring long time collaborator Larry Fessenden.

In 2007, Laverack and Mark Ambrosino started the independent record label, Sojourn Records, and they have released close to fifty titles over the last eight years. Based both in Brooklyn and in Queens, Sojourn has been home to a variety of eclectic artists who have been drawn to working with Ambrosino in his Madhouse studio in an attempt to bring out the best in their music. Laverack’s album, Cave Drawings, produced and recorded by Ambrosino was the debut release for Sojourn and the inspiration for starting the label.

Laverack’s music has also been featured in Larry Fessenden’s films, including No Telling, Habit, Wendigo, The Last Winter, Depraved, and most recently, Blackout.

    1. That’s a good question. I feel like Larry did something with it but the soundtrack was kind of two sources, my string stuff and then the soundscape stuff. I’ll let you know if I find out.
