Tom Laverack is a singer-songwriter from NYC and co-founder of the independent label, Sojourn Records. He has released four albums as a solo artist and has also released three albums with the band Just Desserts, co-led by long time collaborator Larry Fessenden. After a hiatus, Just Desserts released their fourth album, Curtains, in November, 2025. Just Desserts’ Sampler, a collection of songs from the band’s four decades (oof), will be released in November 2026 in vinyl (and other formats). It’s not what you want, but what you deserve!
In 2007, Laverack and Mark Ambrosino started the independent record label, Sojourn Records, and they have produced/released/distributed over fifty titles since 2009. Based in Queens, Sojourn has been home to a variety of eclectic artists who have been drawn to working with Ambrosino in his Madhouse studio in an attempt to bring out the best in their music. Laverack’s album, Cave Drawings, produced and recorded by Ambrosino, was the debut release for Sojourn and the inspiration for starting the label.
Laverack’s music has also been featured in Larry Fessenden’s films, including No Telling, Habit, Wendigo, The Last Winter, Depraved, Blackout, and most recently, Trauma, or Monsters All.

Where’s the soundtrack to the movie “No Telling” with the original score included?!
That’s a good question. I feel like Larry did something with it but the soundtrack was kind of two sources, my string stuff and then the soundscape stuff. I’ll let you know if I find out.

Watched Wendigo last night and found out who Larry Fessenden is and who Tom Laverack is. Not sure which was more haunting, the film or the end credits song A+++
